Rear Bumper Mount for the Traxxas XRT

Overview

The RPM Rear Bumper Mount for the Traxxas XRT adds durability by replacing a commonly broken stock part. How did RPM make it stronger? By increasing the height of the mount significantly. The height has been bumped it all the way up to ¾” (19mm)! RPM then increased the thickness to 0.2” (5.08mm). Our final strength improvement comes in the form of a triple loop design. Each side has three curves. Two small and one large. The large curve absorbs smaller impacts while the smaller curves compress once the larger curve can’t compress any further. This gives three zones of compression per side for the utmost impact resistance.

Interestingly, the unique blend of engineering grade nylons have a characteristic known as memory. Once impact energy has been absorbed, its memory returns the Rear Bumper Mount back to its original shape. Once the impact force is eliminated, the transition back to shape happens almost instantaneously. What does that mean? It means you regain impact resistance rapidly after the first hit. That translates into improved protection of your truck in severe crashes where multiple impacts occur in succession (cartwheels).
